Preserving the history of innovation.

To preserve historical knowledge that has been scattered across patent offices, university collections, museum stores and family memory — and to put it somewhere a student can find it.

To correct misinformation. A great deal of what circulates online about Black inventors is inaccurate, and inaccurate history is fragile history. Every corrected claim makes the documented ones harder to dismiss.

To make archival material usable. A patent number is not much use if no one tells you what it claimed or why it mattered.

To connect the past to the present. The clearance interval at your intersection, the microphone in your phone, the plasma in a hospital fridge — these are living legacies, not trivia.
